Like in most recent years past, the Philadelphia 76ers have a hand full of rookies heading into the season. Each first year player provides their own unique value to the franchise’s present and future. Players like Zhaire Smith, Jonah Bolden and Shake Milton will improve their value to the Sixers as they mature over the next couple of years, but Landry Shamet will be the most important rookie for the club this season.
Surely a player like Smith has a higher ceiling than Shamet, but whenever Smith does make his debut this season after getting a second surgery, he will most likely not have as a significant impact that Shamet will.
