The Philadelphia 76ers now roster Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris — the most talented quartet outside Golden State. Now Elton Brand must turn his focus toward adding depth.
After not signing Corey Brewer for the remainder of the season, the Sixers re-opened their 15th roster spot. Brand was quick to fill it, striking a deal with the conference-leading Toronto Raptors, according to Keith Pompey. The Sixers will send out cash while receiving Malachi Richardson, a 2022 second-round pick and the draft rights to Emir Preldzic.
Richardson — the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft — is the main piece here.
