Late last season and into the playoffs, it became clear that the Philadelphia 76ers did a poor job managing franchise center Joel Embiid‘s playing time throughout the course of the year. Sixers general manager Elton Brand did a good job in getting the proper depth behind Embiid to allow him to rest. Now that the 76ers season schedule has been released and head coach Brett Brown can begin to strategically plan load managing Embiid’s game availability for the upcoming season.
Based on the schedule that the Sixers have, the franchise should try to limit the amount of back-to-back games that Embiid should play.
