The good times continue in Philadelphia.
One night after Villanova won the national championship in the most dramatic of fashions, the Philadelphia 76ers notched their all-important 10th win of the season, 107-93 over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Why so important? Well, the victory ensured that the Sixers (10-68) won't match the record for NBA futility they set back in 1972-73, when they finished 9-73.
But it gets better.
Before the game, the big news was that 37-year-old Elton Brand was making his first start of the season. Brand only played 11 minutes, finishing with two points and four rebounds.
