For most of the season, Amir Johnson has been looking like he’s close to retirement with his ability to play greatly diminished. In the past, I’ve been critical on the Philadelphia 76ers veteran center on several occasions. Yet despite his season long struggles, there is optimism that the 13-year veteran could possibly turn back the clock for the postseason.
The reason for this optimism surrounding Johnson is the two most recent performances that he put up. Johnson has started for the injured starter Joel Embiid and backup Boban Marjanovic.
