The Philadelphia 76ers are in a tough spot, with three stars, questionable chemistry and poor roster construction overall. It will take more pieces to compete, but the general consensus — at least for now — is the Sixers should approach things through more of a long-term lens.
With a legitimate bench, the Sixers can challenge Toronto, Milwaukee and Boston right now. Until the bench reaches that level, though, the individual brilliance of Joel Embiid and Co. isn’t enough to guarantee competitive series.
One reason for the Sixers’ questionable fit, which holds them back in certain matchups, is Ben Simmons‘ poor spacing.
