The two man depth at point guard with Ben Simmons and T.J. McConnell has been solid for most of the season for the Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons is All-Star worthy and McConnell is a fire cracker off the bench, but both lack one important skill set among most modern point guards. Neither have a score first mentality and both have limited range that has most of their offensive production inside the paint.
Now obviously Simmons isn’t gonna lose his starting spot, so finding a scoring first point guard would mean finding one that can do it off the bench.
