Before the 2018-19 season, Nassir Little‘s draft stock was trending upward. He won the McDonald’s All-American MVP, harassing Zion Williamson and cementing his status as a potential top-five pick entering UNC.
Little’s freshman campaign took an unexpected turn, though, as Roy Williams had little faith in the athletic 19-year-old. In 36 games, Little failed to register a single start and averaged just 18.2 minutes per contest, struggling to stay on the court for long stretches. He wasn’t too impressive in those limited minutes either.
Once billed as an elite-level athlete with upside as a shot-maker and defender, Little devolved into a relative question mark that draftniks are hesitant to place in the lottery discussion.
