The Tennessee Volunteers had one of their most successful seasons in program history this past year despite ultimately coming up short in the NCAA tournament. Grant Williams led the way on the court.
The forward from Houston, Texas had quite a career under coach Rick Barnes. Over three seasons, Williams averaged 15.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, and this past season led the SEC in scoring (18.8), was second in field goal percentage (56.5), and finished fourth in total rebounds (257). He also was sixth in the nation in offensive win shares (5.6). He earned SEC Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row, the first to do so since former Sixer Corliss Williamson in 1995.
