With the exception of the Virginia backcourt, nobody saw their stock rise in March like Carsen Edwards. He was a supernova packed into the body of a slot reciever. Edwards turned Twitter and SportsCenter into his own personal highlight reel.
Edwards dropped 42 on the defending National Champion Villanova Wildcats. He then followed that up by scoring 29 on Tennesee, who spent much of the season ranked in the top five. His eye-popping scoring streak will be widely recognized by his 42-point explosion on the eventual champions. The Virginia Cavaliers were one of the two best defensive teams in the nation and they didn’t have a single answer for Edwards, who set a tournament record with 28 made threes.
