NBPA Awards: Carl Landry Voted Sixers Teammate of the Year

The NBA Players Association announced their annual awards winners today, hitting on categories from Best Dressed (Russell Westbrook) to Most Influential Veteran (Tim Duncan). Philadelphia didn’t make the cut for the top honors, but Carl Landry was recognized by his fellow Sixers as the top teammate last season.

There are many instances in which the term “veteran presence” is an overstated phenomenon, but Landry is a good example of the best type of vet to have around a young team. Once he was back to full health, Landry provided professional minutes at the power forward spot and a nice release valve for the Sixers’ young bigs.
