With trade rumors swirling, Sixers center Jahlil Okafor was not with the team on Monday in Charlotte for their game against the Hornets.
When asked why, head coach Brett Brown did not try to hide the truth -- Okafor is close to being traded.
"Jahlil Okafor's situation is transparent," Brown said to Comcast SportsNet. "He's in the middle of being discussed in trade scenarios. So I felt that it complicates things to play him the last game, and now clearly this is continuing on. That's the reason he isn't here."
Okafor did not play in the Sixers' win this past Saturday over the Miami Heat.
