With the need to get some help in the frontcourt due to all the injuries, the Philadelphia 76ers made two moves on Sunday as they waived Sonny Weems and brought back Christian Wood via a second 10-day contract. Head coach Brett Brown says it was difficult to release Weems.
"I wouldn't say anybody's numb to it," Brown told The Philadelphia Inquirer. "I would say that he understands it. And it did not catch him off guard."
This is the third stint with the Sixers this season and once this current deal ends the team must let Wood go again or sign him to a rest-of-season contract.
