NBA NBRA Announce New Seven Year Labor Deal

NBA NBRA Announce New Seven Year Labor Deal

The NBA and the National Basketball Referees Association (NBRA) announced today that they have entered into a new seven-year collective bargaining agreement, commencing with the 2015-16 season. The new agreement, which runs through the 2021-22 season, will replace the current CBA, which was set to expire at the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.

This is the same deal that was announced “tentatively” earlier in the month. Even though previously announced, the deal required ratification by over 60 referees, who convened in Chicago on August 13 to vote on the contract.
