As the Sixers try to build around All-Star Joel Embiid and rookie Ben Simmons, the team will need to find cost-effective options to improve the bench while keeping the flexibility to pursue other stars in free agency.
Most of that can come through the NBA Draft.
The Sixers are in line for two first-round picks -- their own, and the Lakers, which would go to the Celtics if it is in the range of pick No. 2-5. Right now, that Lakers pick is projected for the 10th pick.
Going forward, the Sixers especially need some wing and scoring depth, and ESPN's latest mock draft has them addressing the need for bench scoring with both of its picks.
