The NBA on Thursday night announced the remaining players voted to participate in the 2019 All-Star Game, with Sixers point guard Ben Simmons being selected to join teammate Joel Embiid in Charlotte on Feb. 17, as most expected. This marks the first All-Star appearance for Simmons and the second-straight for Embiid (both times as a starter). Each player is completely deserving of the honor - the Sixers' young duo is posting either career-highs in every meaningful statistical category or pretty close to it.
Embiid is the no-brainer. The 24-year-old is arguably the league's best big in an argument that is increasingly becoming more and more one-sided as his career continues to progress.
