As the NBA Awards show creeps closer, the ballots tied to it are making their way to the public. With Joel Embiid and Dario Saric already being named to the All-Rookie first team, some Philadelphia 76ers fans were holding out hope that Robert Covington may have scrapped his way onto an All-Defensive unit. That wasn’t the case.
The first team was essentially untouchable in the frontcourt, with Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert emerging as the undisputed frontrunners at those positions. The second team was a bit more attainable, though, and Covington’s argument was certainly valid.
