This summer has been a tough one for classic Philadelphia 76ers fans. Just a few weeks ago, Darryl Dawkins — often better known as Chocolate Thunder — passed away. Then, on Sunday, Moses Malone, another Sixers legend, passed away as well due to a cardiovascular disease.
Both of these deaths came as a huge surprise to fans and family, as Malone was actually found to be dead in his hotel room after he did not show up for a celebrity golf tournament he was scheduled to be at.
