The Sixers lost a gut-punch of a game against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday Night. Rookie Tyrese Maxey had a breakout game but it was sadly tainted by the obvious exhaustion shown by the starters.
Before the second game of a back-to-back for the Sixers, the team seemed to have hit a huge stroke of luck. Not only did Kevin Durant miss the game but not long before tip-off, Kyrie Irving dropped off the flat earth.
Without their two stars, it seemed that Brooklyn had no chance to win, and they should have.
