A post from the Twitter account of Dennis Marshall, father of Sixers reserve point guard Kendall Marshall, has criticized the point guard’s lack of playing time.
One tweet alleged that racism played a role in Marshall's limited minutes at point guard. Marshall, who is black, is behind starter Ish Smith and backup T.J. McConnell, who is white.
“I always said there was racism in sports,” read the tweet, posted during Saturday’s setback to the Los Angeles Clippers. “White guys in basketball are getting every chance to succeed even when they aren’t doing (expletive).”
Another tweet took a shot at another one of Marshall’s teammates.
