Many would consider the month of April as one of the greatest in the sports year. The men’s NCAA basketball championship is decided, the beginning of baseball season comes upon us and the unofficial start of golf season kicks off with the Masters, while both pro basketball and hockey also begin their long playoff seasons.
Perhaps one of the most amusing of all the sports days in April, to me, doesn’t come on a field or court or course. Instead, it’s the day the NFL releases its upcoming schedule. That is the day football fans predict, rather decisively, what their favorite teams and hated teams will do that season.
