The outlook for the Philadelphia 76ers was already rough without Ben Simmons, and now Joel Embiid is hurt, too. Late in the first quarter of Wednesday’s road game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Embiid injured his left shoulder while fighting for position near the basket against Ante Zizic and didn’t return to the game.
Philly Voice’s Kyle Neubeck reported that the Sixers are calling the injury a left shoulder sprain.
Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer added that Embiid will have an MRI tomorrow, so we should find out the severity of the injury soon.
