It’s the opening game of the 2024 Olympics for the Team USA basketball super team. We’re hopeful that Joel Embiid, battling illness, can outduel a familiar foe in Nikola Jokic leading the Serbian squad during group phase play.
Embiid will not duck Jokic and is officially in the lineup. So is Kevin Durant, who missed all of Team USA’s exhibition games.
Kevin Durant is cleared to play today for USA Basketball. Joel Embiid good to go as well.
