Update, 12/20/24, 6:31 p.m.: Joel Embiid is officially active for Friday’s contest vs. the Charlotte Hornets, the Sixers announced. He only missed one game due to the sinus fracture suffered in a loss to the Indiana Pacers. Embiid will start alongside Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, Kelly Oubre Jr. and KJ Martin.
Update, 4:04 p.m.: After Andre Drummond spilled the beans on Joel Embiid practicing this week, the Sixers released a statement saying the big fella might be available Friday night vs. the Charlotte Hornets.
