JJ Redick says Sixers need to be great to beat Spurs

With Joel Embiid still listed as doubtful for Wednesday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, the 76ers are going to need a collective effort to have a chance to win.

JJ Redick said he hopes the effort the Sixers showed against the Nuggets on the team’s most recent road trip carries over into the coming games.

“Winning short-handed in Denver was big for us,” Redick said after the Wednesday morning shoot-around in Camden. “We haven’t won a ton of games without Joel, so that was big.”

The Sixers are 2-7 in games without Embiid, including a 107-102 win in Denver on Saturday.
