As expected, Jerryd Bayless will be the Philadelphia 76ers‘ starting two-guard in the abscence of J.J. Redick. Given Bayless’ extended struggles as of late, it’s tough to imagine him successfully filling that void.
It was still the obvious decision. T.J. McConnell‘s playmaking chops are needed in the second unit, while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has been dreadful in recent weeks. I wrote earlier that James Young and Demetrius Jackson deserve a shot at playing time, but there’s no way they’re starting games.
That limited depth leaves Brett Brown with limited options, making Bayless the only plausible solution.
