October was a rough month for Philadelphia 76ers big man Jahlil Okafor. Okafor had a gun pulled on him at an old city night club, got in two street fights near Thanksgiving in Boston, and was clocked by a police officer going 108 miles per hour on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, which connects Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The speed limit on that bridge is 45 miles per hour, so Okafor’s 108 more than doubled the legal limit.
His fine for that incident has just recently been released, and it has been reported to be $439. According to Okafor’s attorney, the star center has “already paid the fine,” which is no surprise since the low $439 penalty is less than 1 percent of his $4.
