Jaden Springer has been assigned to the Delaware Blue Coats and will be available in their matchup against the Greensboro Swarm Saturday, the Sixers announced.
The 21-year-old guard has been in and out of the Sixers’ rotation after a strong showing during the preseason. An illness kept him out of action for three games. His return coincided with the team getting up to full strength, making him a DNP-CD for the last three games. The James Harden trade, which netted the Sixers three wings players that are rotation worthy, hasn’t helped Springer’s cause either.
The Tennessee product found himself in the rotation on opening night where he recorded a highlight-reel, two-handed block on a Damian Lillard layup attempt.
