The NBA season is officially back and the Sixers are off to a roaring start, having squashed the rival Boston Celtics in the opening game of the year in front of an incredible crowd in Philadelphia. Ben Simmons showed his star potential, Josh Richardson showed why he is one of the best two-way guards in the league, and Joel Embiid was able to rest frequently, that’s new!
With all of the great new things shown in the first game, there are some interesting points about the rotation to take away. Brett Brown decided to rely on four main bench players to soak up non-starter minutes, and while that group of players could change as the season goes on, there are a few that seem to be completely out of the race for minutes at the moment.
