Imhotep's Brandon Austin to play for the Summer League 76ers

The 76ers are giving Brandon Austin an opportunity to turn his focus back to playing basketball.

The former Imhotep Charter standout will compete for the Sixers’ summer-league team. The squad will compete in the Utah Jazz Summer League on July 3-6 in Salt Lake City and the NBA Summer League on July 7-17, in Las Vegas. The team’s training camp is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7 point guard, who has been working out with the Sixers, is still trying to clean up his image. Austin has denied two separate sexual assault accusations, and he was not charged with a crime in either case.
