PHILADELPHIA -- Through the bitter cold and a “bomb cyclone”, the Sixers went mobile. Coach Brett Brown woke up on Thursday morning to a foot of snow and unsafe roads and called of practice. Like a high school student waking up early to find out if school was cancelled, surely the Sixers celebrated with exuberance for a much-needed day off in the middle of a long NBA season.
For some Sixers staffers, it wasn’t completely off. For those who needed training and assistance, the Sixers went mobile, sending staffers around the Philadelphia area to attend to those players in need, including star center Joel Embiid.
