After another slow start — and a bumpy finish — the Americans held on to beat Team Australia 98-92 in a USA Basketball Showcase game Monday in Abu Dhabi.
Head coach Steve Kerr switched up the starting unit a bit, inserting Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards in. The starters looked stagnant for the second game in a row, as the Boomers hung in the game early. The Houston Rockets’ Jock Landale was active, giving Embiid and Anthony Davis a hard time.
