GALLOWAY, N.J. – Centers Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor will both play in Tuesday’s preseason matchup against Boston at the University of Massachusetts .
It will mark Embiid’s first game since playing as a Kansas freshman on March 1, 2014, at Oklahoma State University. The third overall pick of the 2014 NBA draft, Embiid missed his last two seasons due to having surgery in each of the last two summers to repair the navicular bone in his right foot. He sat out Thursday’s scrimmages to rest.
Meanwhile, Okafor missed Wednesday’s and Thursday’s scrimmages because of soreness in his right knee after Tuesday’s workouts.
