MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Timberwolves and the 76ers were among two of the NBA worst three teams last season.
Sixers coach Brett Brown was asked before the game if he thought the squads were in similar stage of their rebuilding projects. The Timberwolves are 5-8 heading into Monday night’s matchup at Target Center. The Sixers are 0-14.
“I don’t even feel like we are close,” he said. “You look at Ricky Rubio as their point guard. You look at those three veterans [Kevin Garnett, Tayshaun Prince and Andre Miller] that they have sprinkled into this program. You look at the Wiggins and the Towns thing is where it gets a little bit similar.
