Brown loves Knicks rookie Porzingis

NEW YORK – New York Knicks rookie power forward Kristaps Porzingis, once again, lived up to the hype.

The 7-foot-3, 240-pounder was named the Eastern Conference rookie of the month October/November and December. He’s seventh in NBA all-star voting for among conference front-court players. That lead all rookies.

But the Latvian sure didn’t play like a rookie in Monday’s 119-113 double-overtime victory over the 76ers at Madison Square Garden.

Porzingis finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocks to post his 16th double-double of the season. He was unable to play in both overtimes due to suffering a sore right foot.
