Ben Simmons was at his best in Wednesday’s win over San Antonio, dropping 26 points while pacing the Philadelphia 76ers‘ offense. He also took 15 free throws, a notable total considering his inability/refusal/desire not to get to the line in recent weeks.
I feel like this is a topic that Sixers Twitter and all other corners of the fanbase has exhausted, but it’s tough to overstate just how important Simmons’ scoring is to the success of this team. He can’t defer to lesser talent, and that’s a concern that has followed him since his days at LSU.
