SALT LAKE CITY -- Former Villanova and NBA point guard Alvin Williams is assisting in the Sixers’ player development during the Utah and NBA summer leagues.
The current Germantown Academy assistant coach is likely to remain on the Sixers staff beyond the summer, a source said. But s of Sunday, he said, he hadn’t been notified about a future opportunity. For now, the nine-year NBA veteran will evaluate and work with some of the Sixers’ young players.
"It would be a great move for the Sixers if that is what they did,” Germantown Academy coach Jim Fenerty said of hiring Williams full-time.
