The Sixers entered the 2024 offseason with the ability to create more than $60 million in cap space, and they took advantage of every penny. They completely overhauled their supporting cast around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, led by the blockbuster free-agent signing of Paul George.
With Embiid, Maxey and George all locked into long-term max contracts, the Sixers’ financial outlook will be vastly different in 2025 and beyond. They’ll be well above the cap moving forward, so the only question will be whether they’re above the luxury-tax line or either of the aprons.
