In April, it will be two years since Sam Hinkie resigned from his position in the Sixers organization after spending three seasons as the team's general manager, and author of its "Process."
Whatever successes the Sixers accomplish post-Hinkie — with Bryan Colangelo as his replacement — it will always be tied back to The Process, and its illustrator. Even now, almost two years removed from his last NBA job, Hinkie's name and approach to executive decision-making has been a fervent topic of conversation in the basketball community.
Recently, Bleacher Report published a story about Hinkie which included anonymous quotes from league executives mostly critical of Hinkie's approach to building the Sixers, which included purposefully losing to put the franchise in better position for elite talent via draft picks, accumulating assets, finding diamonds-in-the-rough (a la T.
