Several 76ers weren't surprised and were excited about an ESPN report that former NBA players Chuck Hayes and John Lucas III recently met with coach Brett Brown as the team possibly looks to add much-needed veteran leadership.
"I heard that somewhere," power forward Nerlens Noel said of Hayes and Lucas.
Added guard JaKarr Sampson: "We kind of heard rumors about that anyway. They were going to bring some veterans in to show us how things are done, supposedly just to help us."
Hayes, 32, played power forward and center for 10 seasons combined with the Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, and Toronto Raptors.
