Philadelphia 76ers guard Jerryd Bayless is likely to miss the start of the season after spraining his knee in practice.
Bayless suffered the injured on Sunday and will be re-evaluated in three to four weeks, the team said.
If he is out for only three weeks, Bayless will miss the first three games of the season -- at Boston in the Sixers' opener on Oct. 16, and home against Chicago and Orlando.
Bayless, 30, averaged 7.9 points and 1.4 assists in 24 minutes per game last season.
