The 76ers hired NBA front-office veteran Jerry Colangelo on Monday to be the team’s chairman of basketball operations.
Co-managing owner Josh Harris, who called a news conference Monday afternoon to announce the decision, said Sam Hinkie, the team’s general manager, will continue to run the day-to-day operations.
Colangelo, who spoke alongside Harris and Hinkie, said Hinkie will continue to have final say on personnel decisions.
