76ers cut Paul, Webb, Barber, Long, Christmas

The 76ers opening-day roster apparently will have very few surprises.

The team has notified undrafted free-agent additions Brandon Paul, James Webb III, Cat Barber and Shawn Long that they will be waived at the 5 p.m. Monday deadline for final rosters, according to a source.

The Sixers hold the NBA Development League rights to Webb, Barber and Long. As a result, the three will join Delaware 87ers if they decide to play in the D-League. Monday’s Sixers signee, Dionte Christmas, might join Webb, Barber and Long as players released to become members of the 87ers.
