After preventing Sevyn Streeter from performing the national anthem at their NBA regular-season home opener Wednesday because she was wearing a "We Matter" jersey, the Philadelphia 76ers apologized Friday.
According to Kyle Scott of Crossing Broad, the Sixers released the following statement and invited Streeter back to perform the anthem at a future game:

Streeter explained what happened in a video, which she posted on Twitter:
Was suppose to sing the anthem at @sixers & @okcthunder game but mins b4 @sixers said I couldn't because I was wearing a "We Matter" jersey pic.
