Guard Tony Wroten and forward Robert Covington had a special chemistry when the two young men played together for the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a time of innocence. Well that’s not exactly correct. Innocence suggests we didn’t know better. A time of euphoria and no disappointment. It was a time when the Philadelphia 76ers were a team with more promise than success.
It was more of a time to be carefree. Not about the record, but about the performance of the team. It was a time when players sustained a level of passion and head-in-the-game which was not only better than the scores of games warranted, but to the surprise of fans who were fed a diatribe of discouragement from the media.
