The bad news keeps coming for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Just days after general manager Bryan Colangelo announced that No. 1 pick Ben Simmons would miss the entire season with a broken foot he suffered in training camp, star center Joel Embiid is now out indefinitely due to swelling in his knee, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Embiid is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday. He has been out since Jan. 22 with a left knee contusion.

Embiid missed all of his first two seasons in the NBA due to foot injuries. That has made this year his rookie year, and he is the Rookie of the Year frontrunner despite playing on a minutes restriction to avoid injury.
The 7-foot, 250-pounder is averaging 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 25.4 minutes per game this season.
