The Philadelphia 76ers grabbed the No. 3 pick in the draft, so while they'll probably miss out on Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor, there are plenty of other players they can draft that will significantly help their roster. Here are the three players they should draft:
Emmanuel Mudiay – 6’5″, 200 lbs, PG – Guangdong, China
Stats: 17.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.9 apg
Mudiay would have been leading the SMU Mustangs for Larry Brown this season, but decided to play in China for a year instead. He’s displayed his all-around game against full grown men, something the top prospects on this list can’t say. His size and athletic ability have scouts thinking he could be a taller, smarter Russell Westbrook…would that be of interest to you?
Justise Winslow – 6’6″, 221 lbs, SF – Fr., Duke
Stats: 12.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg
Winslow is great at attacking the rim, and displayed excellent defense and an improved jump shot that had scouts drooling. His elite strength and athleticism gives him the versatility to play several different positions, and the Sixers desperately need help on the wing. No. 3 may seem like a reach for Winslow, but his complete all-around game, aggressiveness, and winners mentality would all be welcomed in Philadelphia.
Kristaps Porzingis – 7’0″, 220 lbs, PF - Sevilla
Stats: 6.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg
Porzingis would’ve been a first round pick in the draft if he would’ve come out last year, but decided to wait another year to improve his game. The seven-footer has emerged as one of the more offensively polished big men in this draft, but teams want to see him be more physical. He'll need some time to develop, but Philly has routinely shown they're willing to take risks on players like that.
