In their second sweep of the season, the Pepperdine Waves defeated the BYU Cougars at home Wednesday night. The Waves’ past two victories have been against top-15 opponents bringing their record to 7-2. The game marked the Wave’s biggest ranked win of the season so far.
The Waves lost the first point of the first set, giving up a kill to Cougars junior middle blocker Miki Jauhiainen. They responded by going on a quick 10-2 run, which featured a pair of kills from senior middle blocker Max Chamberlain and one apiece from seniors Michael Wexter and David Wieczorek.
