Zain Retherford remains undefeated.
After a year off, Penn State's 149-pounder controlled Iowa's Brandon Sorensen from the first ticks of the clock. He took down Sorensen early.
He didn't look back.
"It's awesome," Retherford said. "That's all I can say about it. It was awesome."
Retherford took the Nittany Lions' second individual NCAA title on Saturday night, taking a 10-1 major decision and following teammate Nico Megaludis' victory at 125 pounds.
He latched on to Sorensen's leg, then moved to his neck and wrists. The Hawkeye's limbs flailed, then fell.
