Younger members of Penn State track look to make their mark at Sykes and Sabock Challenge Cup

The Sykes and Sabock challenge will again bring the nation’s best to Horace Ashenfelter III indoor track this weekend.

The competition for this weekend consists of Connecticut, Princeton and Cornell, among the nine teams that Penn State will host. The meet starts at 1:30 p.m. on Friday and runs through Saturday.

Dutch Sykes and Ralph Sabock, the tournament’s namesake, were officials for the Penn State track and cross country teams for over 30 years. It is the second to last meet at home for the indoor track season before both squads head on to the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio at the end of this month.
